Scripture
“The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down.”
— Psalm 145:14 (ESV)
Reflection:
This morning, let the kindness of God settle your heart. You may feel the weight of weakness, failure, or sorrow—but this verse reminds you of a God who doesn’t turn away from the fragile; He upholds them. He lifts the bowed down—not with disdain, but with mercy. His strength is not for the self-sufficient, but for the humble. Start today with this assurance: you are seen, supported, and sustained by the Lord who delights in lifting His people.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for upholding me in weakness and raising me when I’m bowed down. I begin this day leaning on Your strength, not mine. Be glorified in my dependence on You. Amen.
Greek Word:

Hebrew Word:
סָמַךְ (sāmak) — to support, uphold, sustain
Appears in Psalm 145:14, describing God’s action of steadying and sustaining those who stumble or fall.
