Easter Devotion: Risen Indeed!

“But the angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said.’”
—Matthew 28:5–6 (ESV)
Imagine the dawn breaking softly upon the hills of Jerusalem. A stone rolled aside, an empty tomb, and angels declaring the incredible news. The powers of darkness thought they had triumphed, but the resurrection proclaimed otherwise: Christ is victorious!
The resurrection of Jesus Christ stands as the cornerstone of our faith, affirming His deity, fulfilling prophecy, and guaranteeing our hope. Through Christ’s victory over death, sin no longer holds dominion over those who believe. This miraculous event isn’t just a historical reality—it’s the living heartbeat of every Christian, pulsating with hope and renewal.
Consider the women at the tomb: their sorrow transformed into indescribable joy. They were the first messengers of the risen Christ, their fear turned into boldness, their grief into worship. Likewise, the reality of Christ’s resurrection compels us to live transformed lives, marked by bold faith and confident proclamation.
Practically, what does Easter mean for your daily walk? It means you can confidently approach life’s trials, knowing Christ has overcome the ultimate adversary—death itself. It means you can freely forgive, love sacrificially, and live boldly, reflecting the grace and power of your risen Savior.
Today, pause and reflect: Are you living in the reality of this victory? Are you proclaiming with your life, “He is risen indeed!”? Easter calls us to more than mere acknowledgment—it invites us into vibrant, victorious living through Jesus Christ.
As you celebrate today, let the resurrection transform your fears into courage, your sorrow into joy, and your quiet faith into a bold witness.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for raising Christ from the dead, securing our redemption and eternal hope. Empower me today to live boldly in this truth, proclaiming with my whole life: Christ is risen! Amen.
